Matua Joe Pihema is a leading expert in Te Reo Māori, tikanga, and tribal history. He is Pou Tikanga at Pūtahi Manawa and senior tikanga advisor to Ngāti Whātua. Joe has over 25 years of extensive expertise in Māori education, broadcasting and in the cultural and heritage sector and is a Trustee of Taumata-a-Iwi - Auckland Museum.
