The Fatu Malosi student research programme provides opportunities for Pacific students studying health at a tertiary level to participate in a heart health equity programme of research during the 2025/26 summer break. Students a will receive a stipend of $9,000. More information available nearer the opening date.

Pūtahi Manawa Community Engagement Sponsorship
The Pūtahi Manawa Community Engagement Sponsorship Fund is designed to support strategic, equitable, and accountable investment in community engagement activities that advance heart health equity for Māori and Pacific Peoples. Funding is intended for active participation and meaningful engagement and does not apply to attendance only. Approved activities are expected to demonstrate clear outcomes, measurable impact, and learning that informs future research, prevention, or community partnerships.
Co-Directors’ Support Funding
If you require small amounts of funding support for activities not covered by the existing awards, please email us on hhanzcoregrants@auckland.ac.nz with an outline of the support you need and a justification, for the Co-Directors' consideration.
Travel Grants
Travel Grants
Pūtahi Manawa travel grants are designed to support Pūtahi Manawa researchers, collaborators and community partners to travel for purposes such as building relationships, gaining new research skills, forging research collaborations, and presenting their research. There is no closing date; applications are welcome at any time.
