Our Māori and Pacific postgraduate scholarships are opening soon
Our Master/B(Hons) scholarships for Māori and for Pacific student open on Monday 11 November 2024. There are separate scholarships for Māori students and for Pacific students who are studying for a Masters or B(Hons) degree and are researching heart health.
The scholarships provide support for up to two years, with a stipend of $23,500 per year, tuition fees and $7,000 for research expenses. Students undertaking a two year Masters degree may apply for support for both years of their degree, providing that the research component of the degree qualifies for entry to doctoral study.
Students for the Pacific scholarship must be of Indigenous Pacific descent and do not have to be a NZ citizen or resident to be eligible, but must be intending to study at a NZ tertiary institution. The applicant must be enrolled in the relevant programme at a New Zealand institution before the scholarship commences.
Applicants who have both Māori and Pacific heritage may apply for both scholarships.
